Reg Marsh Shield - 5 Person Summer Snooker Competition 2008 /09 Handicapping Each match is played on a Handicapped basis. The lowest handicapped player in each team will play the corresponding lowest handicapped player in the opposition. The Handicapping is based on the net handicap of each player. Ie. Dave’s Handicap = +10 Bob’s Handicap = - 6 Therefore Dave will receive a 16 point advantage in each frame played. If Dave wins the match his handicap will be reduced by 2 points (new handicap of +8 ) the next time he plays. In turn, Bob’s handicap will increase by 2 points (- 4) This pattern of addition and subtraction of points on a Win or a Loss will continue up until the “Handicap Freeze” – For this Summer Season that will be after Game 13 – 4th February 2009. All Players MUST play 3 games prior to the Freeze to qualify for the play-offs, Semi Finals, Final, Grand Final. Summer Season 2008 / 2009 The season will be reduced to ONLY 16 league games prior to the Play-Offs. Therefore, each team will not play each other twice. The only return fixtures will be games 13 - 16. or 4th Feb 09 - 25th Feb 09.
