I'd like all Forum readers to be aware of the “Sussex Referees Book of Expanded Rules and Good Refereeing Practice”. It's is endorsed by WPBSA and now World Snooker and if you haven’t actually seen a copy, the loose leaf pages are presented in a bespoke plastic folder and the official Rules are reproduced on the left hand side of each spread. Opposite, on the right, are such explanatory notes to be helpful in the general understanding and application of the official word. The contents include: An excellent 'Miss Rule' flowchart, The Rules of Snooker with Explanatory Notes and differences for Special Tournament variations, e.g. ‘Six Red Snooker’. The Rules of English Billiards. The section on Good Refereeing Practice (which will help even the unqualified individual who is pressed into officiating on a League night or of any standard) is particularly good. If you’d like a copy, send £15 + £5 P&P to Derek Budde, 271 Hangleton Road, Hove, BN3 7LR. I'll finish by saying 'this is not an advert - I've bought a copy for each club in our league and it is excellent'.

Has this been updated to cover the recent rule changes?
