League Fixtures

We at Preston currently produce the League Fixtures for 5 Divisions of 12 Teams per Division using the Secretary's 18 year old computer and a programme stored on 5.5inch floppies.
The KO competitions are seeded manually then I use a random number selector and finally I "tweak" the resulting fixtures until they look right.
I was wondering how other Leagues do the League and Cup fixtures.
I have searched the internet for a programme that can avoid Clubs with more than one team being drawn at home on the same date and be able to seed players or teams in KO competitions, but I haven't had any success to date.
Does anyone know of any free software that would bring us into the 21st century?

Hi Rob
It's a year since I posted this and in the intervening months I think that I have sorted it.
I looked at a lot of sites offering a service but all wanted paying, if not initially then at a later time.
Then I stumbled across a site www.bluebones.net and this is where I got what I wanted....for free!
It has no fancy formulas and just uses an Excel spreadsheet.
I can send you, and anyone else that wants it, a copy of the spreadsheet that I have adapted for Preston Leagues if you e-mail me at abeetham@btinternet.com.
Just let me know whether your leagues have either 12 or 14 teams per division.

Here is another method. I got it via bluebones as well. It's a free to use PHP script, which I have taken and put on our league website along with instructions on how it works.

It works brilliant for me. The only problems arise when you have divisions with a different number of teams and you have teams that share venues, but you can get around this by introducing byes.
