|Congratulations to West Midlands for winning their 6th title and congratulations to Bristol for reaching the finals for the first time!
The 12th UK League Snooker Championship will take place over the weekend of 27th November - 28th November 2021. The tournament will take place at THE CRUCIBLE READING, 6 Richfield Ave, Reading, RG1 8EQ.
Andy Bolter should be able to get a discount code for the Crowne Plaza hotel is Reading
The tournament will start at 11am on Saturday 27th November to allow leagues from all over the country to arrive in time, and recommence at 10am on the Sunday morning
Each league is invited to enter one team of five players (Depending on numbers, we may allow a second team), but unlimited reserves are permitted. We will have two divisions and play a league format, with a quarter-final between the first four teams from division A playing against the first four teams in division B. So the team that finishes 1st in division A will play the fourth place team in division B, the 2nd place team in division A will play the 3rd place team in division B and vice versa. In the semi-finals, the winners of the 1st place and 4th place matches will play the winners of the 2nd place and 3rd place match from the other group. Then there will be the final. The cost of entry is £70 per team. Non members of the UK League Snooker Community can enter at £100 a team. There will be cash prizes for the winners and runners up, along with a cash prize for the player with the greatest difference between wins and losses (if two players are level, we will then go off aggregate difference based on the aggregate page), and also highest break.
Winners - £500
Runners Up - £280
Best Player - £100
Highest Break - £100
If you would like to enter a team, please let me know and when you know the players, please send me their names.
Professionals can enter the tournament, but they will be handicapped at 21 points a frame.
The full miss rule will be played.
There will be no aggregate scores counted, for example if a team wins 3-2, the winning team will get an extra point in the league table.
To make the competition more solid, I am asking that leagues send a cheque for the entry of the competition. Once you know the number of teams, please send payment to the address on the payment page or to my bank account (once you are logged in) or email email@example.com for details.
I am also adding a closing date for entry by the 1st November. Payment must also be made by this date
I would like to add that players should play in smart casual dress, no jeans or trainers.
No refund will be given if you pay and then say you wish to pull out of the tournament, the reason being is that we often have teams waiting to participate and it would be a shame if they don't get that chance if a team pulls out. If you have any doubt that you will NOT enter the tournament, please let me know ASAP.
The competition will be restricted to 16 entries due to use having 8 snooker tables on the Saturday, we will have 16 tables on the Sunday, but there will be a reserve list for teams who wish to enter, they will be entered if existing teams have not payed by the 1st November deadline
If any team does not return on the Sunday to continue playing in the competition, they will not be invited to take part in the tournament again
