Topic: Veterans Snooker Leagues in North West.

John Hilton (Preston & District Snooker League) | Posted on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 As Chairman of a very active and well supported Veterans Snooker League in the Preston & District I was wondering whether or not we are alone or whether there are other such leagues, particularly in the North West of England. We run two leagues for over 60's with eight clubs in each league and matches are played during the normal winter season every Wednesday afternoon. The format is more or less the same as the main P&D league with teams of six and an extra point for the aggregate score. If we do have similar leagues out there it would be nice to know how popular they are and whether there are sufficient to have the occasional get-together in the form of a league encounter.
