As you will no doubt have noticed, P&DSL now has a set of rules accessible through the left hand menu bar. In order for me to get them on, I had to type them out in a MS Word Document and took the opportunity to add some things that were agreed at the AGM and to amend some of the wording that I thought was ambiguous. I also changed Rule 19 to use the total aggregate score to decide who goes up or down in the event of two teams tying at the end of the season.(Previously these issues had to be resolved by two deciding matches at home and away but now with the new scorecards, it will be easy to determine total aggregate points.) Unfortunately, after initially agreeing with the changes, George has now reminded me that any changes to the rules must be ratified at the AGM,(next meeting on 8th April 2009). My intention is to propose the new version of the rules be accepted at the AGM but for the coming season we need to abide by the current rules as will be printed in the Fixtures Handbook for season 2008-9. In the meantime, please have a browse through the new look rules and reply to this Post with any constructive comments.
